Release of QR codes for medicinal plants

Smt. Veena George, Hon’ble Minister for Health, Women and Child Development, released the QR code for Herbs prepared by the State Medicinal Plant Board (SMPB) Kerala in the presence of Sri Shafi Parambil, MLA Palakkad.

SMPB Kerala has been promoting using QR codes for medicinal plants. These codes typically provide information about the plant's medicinal properties, uses, cultivation practices, and conservation status. By scanning the QR codes, users can access detailed data, making it easier for practitioners and the general public to learn about traditional medicine and the importance of biodiversity. These codes are freely available on the herbal database of the SMPB Kerala website.
