Commercial based medicinal plants farming scheme is mainly for farmers, farmer groups, societies, Kudumbashrees (SHG) and cooperatives. Under the scheme, at least 5 acres of land should be cultivated with herbs. Herbs can be grown as an intercrop or sole crop. Cultivated herb as per National Herbal Board guidelines 30% of the scheme amount depending on the type of plant. Up to 75% is available as financial assistance.
