Tiliacora acuminata Miers

  • Distribution: India, Sri Lanka and South East Asia
  • Description: Climbing shrubs. Leaves alternate, ovate or lanceolate. Inflorescence axillary, panicle. Male flowers 2-7 at apex of inflorescence, yellow; Female flower solitary. Drupes on branched carpophores, oblong to obovoid.
  • Habit: Climbers/Lianas
  • Habitat: Moist deciduous forests and also sacred groves in the plains
  • Flowering & Fruiting: April-December
