  • Description: Small trees. Leaves simple, opposite. Flowers, many greenish-yellow, bisexual, in 4 cm long cymes. Fruit a berry, dark purple.

  • Properties & Uses: Dried flower bud is used for the treatment of cough, fever, bronchitis, asthma, indigestion, acidity, stomachache, cholera, vomiting, abdominal disorders, skin diseases and dental caries. Pounded mixture of clove, cardamomum and asafoetida is used against intestinal worms.
