  • Description: Shrubs. Leaves ovate, usually coarsely 2-3-sinulate apex acute. Inflorescence supra-axillary, many-flowered corymbose cymes; Flower white.

  • Habitat: Degraded forest areas and also in the plains
  • Flowering & Fruiting: July-March

  • Parts used: Root
  • Properties & Uses: Sedative, diuretic and digestive. Fruits are used to treat indigestion and diseases of spleen and its decoction is used to treat cough. Powdered seeds mixed with mustard oil and applied skin to cure skin eruptions. Roots are used in healing of cracks in the feet.
