Description: Erect pubescent herbs. Leaves opposite below and alternate above, basal leaves often 3-foliolate. Flowers white, axillary, solitary. Capsule oblong, compressed; seeds obovate, black, smooth.

Properties & Uses: Diuretic and emollient. Seed paste mixed with butter is used for the treatment of bleeding piles. Decoction of seeds used to treat cough. Poultice of seeds used to treat healing of ulcers. Oil is used in dysentery, urinary compliant, burns, piles, ulcer, bronchial asthma, oil also promotes hair growth.
