  • Distribution: Pantropical
  • Description: Shrubs. Leaves long; leaflets 6-12 pairs, oblong to obovate-oblong. Inflorescence terminal or axillary, many-flowered, spicate raceme. Flowers yellow. Pod linear, 4-winged; seeds many, rhomboid.

  • Habitat: Along riversides and margins of ponds

  • Properties & Uses: Vermifuge, purgative and anti-poisons. The juice of the leaves are used in itching, skin diseases, asthma, ring worm and leprosy. The leaves are also used in scorpion sting and snake bite.
