  • Description: Climbing shrubs. Leaves oblong-ovate or lanceolate crenate-serrate on margins. Inflorescence axillary umbels. Flowers greenish yellow. Berry globose.

  • Habitat: Moist deciduous forests and sacred groves

  • Properties & Uses: Anti-oxidant, anti-ulcer, anti-diabetic, hypoglycemic and anti-obesity. Roots are used as a tonic, blood purifier and to treat amenorrhea and dysmenorrhea. Root bark boiled in oil or as decoction is used for the treatment of rheumatism, gonorrhoea, itches, asthma, thirst and ear diseases.
