Description: Small trees. Leaves opposite, elliptic-oblong, base rounded to obtuse-cuneate. Cyme axillary, 1-3-flowered. Flower white. Fruit a berry, globose; seeds many, embedded in fleshy pulp.

Properties & Uses: Cooling, aphrodisiac, antipyretic and antirheumatic. Leaves are used in wounds and ulcer. Flowers are used in bronchitis and sore eyes. Decoction of bark and leaves are used for the treatment of diarrhea, dysentery, vomiting, epilepsy, indigestion, fever, burning sensation and urinary disorders. Leaves chewed are help to relieve toothache. Pounded leaves are locally applied in rheumatism. Fruits are used in diarrhea and dysentery.
