  • Description: Evergreen shrubs or small trees. Leaves simple, opposite, elliptic-lanceolate. Flowers bisexual, white, fragrant, in dense globose heads. Fruit an ovoid syncarp of pyramidal; seeds black, with hard albumen.

  • Habitat: Coastal region and along mangrove forests
