Description: Herbs. Leaves alternate, to 12 cm long; rachis tomentose. Flowers pink. Lomentum flat, margin with recurved prickles; seeds 3-5, sub rhombic.

Properties & Uses: Antiseptic, cooling and alternative. Decoction of the root is used for treating biliousness, leprosy, skin diseases, wounds, diarrhea, dysentery, vaginal and uterine ailments, inflammations and asthma. Paste of leaves is applied to relieve glandular swellings. The leaf juice is used in dressing sores, fistula and hemorrhoids.
