Description: Creeping herbs. Leaves simple opposite, orbicular or broadly ovate to reniform. Flowers yellow, solitary or in few-flowered umbels. Berry globose, scarlet; seeds plano-convex.

Properties & Uses: Leaf infusion is used in sore feet; leaves cooked with food for diarrhoea in children. Juice of crushed fruits dripped into eyes for eye infections.
