Description: Climbing shrubs. Leaves bipinnate, pinnae 2 or 3 pairs. Spikes axillary, solitary or paired, erect. Flowers densely packed, creamy white. Pods long, thick, woody; seeds many, biconvex, orbicular, smooth.
Habit: Climbers/Lianas
Habitat: Evergreen forests along the sides of rivers
Flowering & Fruiting: December-April

Parts used: Stem, root, leaves and seeds
Properties & Uses: Stem and root powder are used for diarrhea. Bark and wood is useful to relieve ulcers. Seed infusion is used for snake bite and stomachache. Seed paste useful in paralysis, toothache and boils. Leaves decoction given in chest pain, lumbago and colic.
