  • Distribution: Pantropical
  • Description: Herbs. Leaves few to many, peltate, ovate, cordate to sagittate at base. Peduncle solitary or few together; spathe to 20 cm long, yellow. Spadix cylindrical. Male flowers above, female flowers on lower. Neutral flowers peltate, between the female and male flowers. Fruit an aggregate of berries, globose.
