Description: Climbing herbs. Leaves alternate, bi-ternate; leaflets ovate-lanceolate, deeply dentate or lobed. Flowers white, polygamous in 3-7-flowered. Fruit a capsule, 3-lobed, winged; seeds one in each chamber.

Properties & Uses: Sedative, anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic, analgesic, stimulant, emetic, diuretic, diaphoretic and laxative. Whole plant is used for the treatment of rheumatism, nervous disorders, piles, chronic bronchitis, fever, sprains, jaundice, swellings, dandruff and alopecia. Leaves are used to treat wounds, piles and general sores.
