  • Distribution: Indo-Malesia and Australia
  • Description: Dioecious, parasitic herbs. Rootstock warted with lenticels. Stem stout, short, cylindric. Leafy bracts ovate to sub orbicular, obtuse at apex, purple. Male inflorescence obovoid, dense raceme. Flowers small. Female inflorescence globose heads, bright red in colour. Ovary ellipsoid, minute.
