  • Distribution: Indo-Malesia and Australia
  • Description: Large trees. Leaves imparipinnate, alternate, crowded towards the apex of branches. Flowers polygamous, greenish-yellow, in axillary panicles. Fruit a samara, oblong.

  • Habitat: Planted in the plains
  • Flowering & Fruiting: December-July

  • Parts used: Bark, Exudation
  • Properties & Uses: Fresh bark juice is used for the treatment of dysentery, dyspepsia, bronchitis and root bark is used to treat antidote to cobra bite. Fruit is used to treat ophthalmia. Leaves are useful in cephalalgia and gastralgia.
